Letters Upon A Page - Cybran Monkeylord

This was made for my Letters Upon A Page modification project and showreel video, and is an interpretation of the Cybran Monkeylord from the real time strategy game Supreme Commander. This machine is a giant amphibious six-legged robot carrying a gigantic laser cannon, two smaller cannons, missiles and torpedoes. It's a fan favourite due to its imposing appearance and effectiveness in the game.

This model was built, textured and exported to be efficient in a real-time graphics engine, and can be easily rendered in CryEngine at 30+ frames per second. I built it as twenty separate parts, which were then linked together and animated in CryEngine.

Model made and texture-mapped in Google SketchUp, using PlayUp Tools, and rendered in CryEngine 3 at quad-HD (3840 x 2160) in about 0.5 seconds.
